National Cancer Survivors Month is celebrated in June around the world - the month that is dedicated to those who have faced a cancer diagnosis and managed to move on with their lives. This month celebrates their victory, strength, and hope.
Accepting a cancer diagnosis is a difficult challenge, but timely diagnosis, modern treatment, and psychosocial support today allow many patients not only to overcome the disease but also to continue living an active life.
In recent years, the possibilities for early cancer diagnosis and modern treatment have significantly increased in Georgia as well. The number of surviving patients is also increasing day by day. However, the story of survival does not end with the completion of treatment - it is important to support them throughout the process of rehabilitation, psychological and social adaptation.
Today, awareness-raising campaigns are actively conducted in Georgia, providing the population with accurate information, so that they can timely consult a doctor and be more attentive to their health.
