Clinical oncology (chemotherapy)

Chemotherapy treatment

• Pre-operative chemotherapy is directed at reducing the primary tumor size, so subsequent surgery is less traumatic.
• Post-operative chemotherapy is directed at destroying metastases and preventing their formation in the future.

In the Institute of Clinical Oncology, chemotherapy courses are performed according to international guidelines, which are approved as the treatment standard by medical oncology societies (ASCO, NCCN, ESMO)
