Breast benign lumps involve:
- Mastopathy (diffusive, diffusive-cystic and nodular form);
- Cyst (thin and thick walled cysts – solitary cyst);
- Fibroadenoma (juvenile and phylloid - leaf-shaped);
- Nodular fibroadenoma;
- Intraductal papilloma.
Surgical interventions performed in case of benign diseases:
- Enaculation (excision of a lump);
- Segment resection;
- Wedge resection;
Methods of surgical intervention in case of malignant diseases:
- Radical segment resection;
- Quadrantectomy with lymph node dissection (sentinel – level 1 lymph nodes) ;
- Radical mastectomy;
- Skin-sparing radical mastectomy, followed by silicone plastic surgery;
- Restoration reconstructive surgeries (mastopexy and reduction plastic surgery).
