A neurologist treats pathological processes occurring in the central and peripheral nervous system, however, the competence of an oncology clinic neurologist includes the management of oncology patients in both the pre and postoperative periods. Specifically:

• Pain management in oncology, e.g. headache in cancer patients;
• Epilepsy and acute symptomatic epileptic seizures in cancer patients;

• Management of neurological complications caused by radiation therapy;
• Neurorehabilitation of cancer patients;
• Treatment of neuroinfections in immunocompromised patients;
• Management of somatic neurological problems in oncology: focusing on cardio-oncology in terms of reducing the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications.
